allow the user to hide or reorder columns in Save and Restore #3947
The current UI of save and restore can feel quite overwhelming when you configure both set/readback PVs, particularly when the set PVs are not configured to alarm, these additional columns become redundant information that takes up a significant portion of the usable space.
Ideally, it would be nice to be able to hide these alarm columns (or others that the user doesn't deem relevant) if they're not of interest to the operator or alternatively move them to the edge of the table to better organise the information in a way that appeals to them.
@kathryn-baker, rearranging columns is already supported natively in the JavaFX TableView through drag-n-drop of the table headers. This however may not be good enough unless the order is persisted somehow and applied next time a snapshot is opened.
As for hiding columns... Sadly the native "table menu" (see for instance the alarm log table) is not customizable enough to neatly support the snapshot view where we have nested column. Here a custom solution would have to be considered, again with the ability to save the user's preference.
