paseo-verify-identity: orphan check false-FAILs after a host sleep and its remedy kills the sandbox VM #492
Found in the identity gate from #453 (implements #452).
On msb 0.7.8 / acq 4.0.2, against a healthy sandbox, scripts/paseo-verify-identity team-data reports 10 passed, 1 failed: "the host listener PREDATES the running sandbox by 289s — orphaned forwarder", while §7 shows host and acq exec agree on the same server id. The listener it flags is the sandbox's own msb machine --name team-data process (same msb installation). The check compares the host process's elapsed time with guest /proc/uptime (ORPHAN_SLACK=120); the guest clock likely lags after a host sleep, since VM uptime excludes host suspend. The printed remediation says to kill <listener-pid>, which here is the sandbox's VM.
Suggestions: treat a listener whose argv is msb machine --name <sandbox> as the sandbox's own forwarder rather than an orphan; or don't FAIL on age when the WebSocket server ids agree (downgrade to a warning); and never suggest killing an msb machine process for the sandbox being checked.
