We're dealing with a lot of legacy SOAP services for which we're creating Hurl validation requests. This works fine but assertions are a bit painful since we heavily rely on XPaths and Hurl only supports XPath 1.0 expressions.
Thanks for the issue. For XPath, we're using libxml2 that only supports XPath 1.0. So, for the moment, we won't be able to support XPath 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1.
That said, in Hurl syntax we have filters that could help writing assertions and capture. Would you be able to give XML samples and XPath expressions/use-cases that you're using today and that could be improved? With samples, we can see if we could improve things for theses use-cases,
