ActiveMQ 6.2.9 upgraded to Camel 4.21.x by mistake (see #2351): Camel 4.21.x requires Spring 7.x but ActiveMQ 6.2.9 is still on Spring 6.x. This cause errors when trying to use Camel in ActiveMQ.
On activemq-6.2.x branch, we should stick on Camel 4.14.x.
I will downgrade the Camel version on the branch and I propose either:
To propose 6.2.10 with the fix (right Camel version)
Or warn users that Camel is not usable out of the box in 6.2.9.
I assume this was already done in #2586 ([6.2.x] Downgrade to Camel 4.18.4 to align Spring version between ActiveMQ and Camel) and is included in the latest maintenance release 6.2.10 ✅
@jbonofre: In the above bug description, you mentioned that one should stick with Camel 4.14.x for ActiveMQ 6.2.x, but the Camel version was ultimately updated to 4.18.x (rather than 4.14.x). Is this because Camel 4.18.x is the last version to use Spring 6.x, and is therefore compatible with ActiveMQ 6.2.x?

@mjschwaiger yes, I aligned Camel/ActiveMQ/Spring versions. You can update to ActiveMQ 6.3.x to have new Camel version.

@jbonofre A compatibility matrix would be really very helpful, but the question is where it could be documented most effectively ...

@mjschwaiger we can add Camel version in the table here https://activemq.apache.org/components/classic/download/

Yes, that would be really great and would be much appreciated!🙏
