Version
main branch (source inspected at 73f2ddd)
Describe what's wrong
The Java GVFS client only accepts simple, oauth2, and kerberos. Setting fs.gravitino.client.authType=basic throws an exception before sending a request.
The Java SDK and Python GVFS already support Basic authentication. This gap prevents Java GVFS from connecting to a Gravitino server configured with the built-in local user store and Basic authentication.
Expected behavior: Java GVFS supports basic with a username and password, consistent with the Java SDK and Python GVFS.
Error message and/or stacktrace
IllegalArgumentException: Unsupported authentication type: basic for fs.gravitino.client.authType.
How to reproduce
The following call reaches the unsupported-authentication branch in the current source:
Configuration conf = new Configuration();
conf.set("fs.gravitino.server.uri", "http://localhost:8090");
conf.set("fs.gravitino.client.metalake", "test_metalake");
conf.set("fs.gravitino.client.authType", "basic");
GravitinoVirtualFileSystemUtils.createClient(conf);
