Attaching images in pull request #4745

This feature would be awesome for my workflow with AI. I'm using Claude to generate PRs from my commits, and I have some videos showcasing the work done but I have to manually push them to the PR through the web interface. Doing so from CLI would be great

It is silly that this isn't supported natively.

I built gh-image as a gh CLI extension to solve this. It replicates the browser's own upload flow, so images land at github.com/user-attachments/assets/….
The same URLs you get from drag-and-drop. Images on private repos stay private, since the URLs inherit repo visibility.

It automatically pulls your browser's session cookie, no tokens or OAuth setup required.

Third-party solutions are great but are not as good as native support. Those rely on the github token in the cookies, which is not the same as the scoped tokens you can create from the CLI. Still, in the age of agents this should really be supported.
