What problem are you solving?
Currently, the Flutter framework only provides the CircleAvatar widget, which is tightly coupled to the Material Design layer. This creates a limitation for developers working with custom design systems.
To implement a non-Material avatar, developers are forced either to recreate the internal logic from scratch (animations, image handling, and clipping) or to accept unwanted Material dependencies and default behaviors, such as implicit theme lookups and enforced text scaling.
