Experimental async transport: your feedback is needed #5919

Hey folks, in version 2.57.0 we're introducing an experimental async transport.

You can opt-in to the feature by installing httpcore[async] and writing:

import sentry_sdk
from sentry_sdk.integrations.asyncio import AsyncioIntegration

sentry_sdk.init(
    integrations=[
        AsyncioIntegration(), # needed for flushing the async transport at exit
    ],
    _experiments={
        "transport_async": True,
    },
)

There's a handful things to keep in mind:

• The transport is still experimental, so there might be things that need ironing out. Please reach out to us (via this thread or an issue) if you encounter any.
• httpcore[async] needs to be installed for the async transport to work.
• In order to use the async transport, the AsyncioIntegration needs to be enabled as it handles sending events at shutdown.
• init() needs to be called when there's an event loop running for the async transport to initialize.
• The async transport needs to be flushed with await flush_async() instead of the synchronous flush().
