HTML just removed the close event from MessagePort (whatwg/html#13016), which Node.js implements (https://nodejs.org/api/worker_threads.html#event-close).
I don't know how similar the web MessagePort and Node.js MessagePort classes are, but you might want to consider whether to deprecate the event in Node.js or not.
