A few things that usually fix slow or stuck CS50 codespaces:

1. Open it from https://cs50.dev instead of through VS Code on your computer. That's the setup CS50 expects and it's usually more reliable.
2. Go to https://github.com/codespaces, find your codespace, click the ... next to it and choose Stop codespace. Wait a minute, then open it again. A codespace that got stuck starting up often just needs a restart.
3. If it still hangs, try the browser version and a different browser, and turn off any VPN. VPNs and some school/work networks block the connection.
4. If you're opening it from desktop VS Code, update VS Code and the GitHub Codespaces extension. Old versions can have trouble connecting.
5. If nothing works, on that same page you can delete the codespace and let cs50.dev make a new one. Just push or download anything you haven't saved first, because deleting removes the files inside it.

I’ve experienced similar issues with Codespaces taking a long time to connect, especially when using VS Code. It would be helpful if the connection process provided more details about what it’s waiting for or if there was a clear timeout/error message when the connection fails.
