Bug description

The content of the Save dialog won't render, so that it is blank and unusable. See screenshot.

And I see a lot of libfreetype error messages via journalctl:

    I experience the same problem too with both saving and opening files when using the portable version of the program on Fedora 44 KDE using KDE Plasma 6.7. I can say, though, that the flatpak version of Processing I found via Discover works. I am using the Wayland session (maybe it has to do something with that? I see an XOrg logo in the top left corner of the window - see screenshot.)

    @Toxe @janerik20 I think this is likely a system configuration thing.
    That said it working over flatpak is peculiar. I've seen posts about making sure you have Dolphin installed.

    Also there is a 4.5.5 that is released, could y'all try that one?

    @catilac Sure thing, although I only got 4.5.4 available so far. Unfortunately still a problem.

    @Toxe oops i forgot to promote 4.5.5 to release on snapcraft. can you try it again?

    that said, i'll look at the dump, i don't want to jump to the conclusion that it might be environmental on your side. we'll need to do some searching for those errors because i see them popping up in other projects as well. i want to find the common thread
