Hi 👋 I'm Yusuf Özer

☁️ What I Do

I build and operate cloud platforms, infrastructure and delivery systems that help engineering teams ship software safely and reliably.

Twice now I've joined as the first DevOps engineer and built the practice — and the team — from scratch.

My focus is on:

  • 🏗️ Cloud & Platform Engineering
  • ☁️ AWS architecture & migration
  • 🧱 Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
  • 🚀 CI/CD & developer platforms
  • 📦 Containers & orchestration
  • 🔭 Observability & reliability
  • 🔐 Security, IAM & compliance
  • 🤖 Automation with Python, Bash & AI agents

I enjoy turning manual infrastructure work into repeatable, automated platforms.

🤖 AI-Assisted Platform Engineering

I build internal tooling that lets engineers drive infrastructure through agents instead of runbooks:

  • MCP servers exposing observability, databases, CMS and code-quality systems to LLM agents safely
  • Agent plugins & skills encoding team runbooks — incident triage, PR review, scoped DB access, environment setup — as reusable workflows
  • Durable AI workflows — event-driven, idempotent, retryable background jobs with full execution history
  • Guardrails first — scoped credentials, read-only by default, audit trails on every agent action

The interesting problem isn't getting an agent to answer; it's giving it just enough access to be useful and not one permission more.

🧠 Engineering Philosophy

Automate > Document > Observe > Secure > Improve

I prefer infrastructure that is:

  • Reproducible — everything possible should be defined as code
  • Observable — if we can't see it, we can't operate it
  • Secure by default — least privilege and automated controls
  • Developer-friendly — platforms should remove friction, not create it
  • Boring in production — complexity belongs in the engineering process, not at 03:00
  • Continuously improving — small, measurable improvements compound
