I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes five weeks before my honeymoon. As a software engineer, I quickly worked to figure out how to use technology to better manage it. Since then, I have become involved in the Do-It-Yourself Automated Insulin Delivery community. I collaborate with the Nightscout Foundation on Nocturne, a modern diabetes management platform which unifies all diabetes platforms under a single open-source roof, to help people uncover patterns and understand their diabetes better. Since my diagnosis, I have been a dedoc voice at ATTD in Spain, spoken at the #DData2026 conference in New Orleans, lead hackathons in Vancouver, and ran workshops on self-hosting software for the open source community.

Your support helps me continue to work on Nocturne in my spare time, and be able to afford consumables to test different insulin delivery systems, travel to networking events, and justify the time I spend in front of my laptop.
