Add blank line between %Question% and the folded Answer comment VS Code's Markdown renderer can mis-parse the <!-- when it directly follows the question text. Applied to all six bundled templates and the in-code default. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Defang `<!--` in Q/A/Progress and ignore phantom blocks in the rewrit… …e check Answer had `-->` -> `-- >` defanging so a template wrapping the answer in `<!-- ... -->` never had the outer comment close early. The same defanging is now applied to Question and Progress, which templates can wrap in a comment too. `<!--` on the open side is also defanged to `<! --`; not required for correctness (HTML comments don't nest), but mixing raw `<!--` with defanged `-- >` in the output looked suspicious. Once `<!--` in body content becomes `<! --`, any pair whose body happens to embed the 40-hyphen SEP line changes shape enough that the destructive-rewrite splitter creates a phantom block whose "identity" was previously body content -- shifting that content fired the backup spuriously. Anchor identity extraction on a real `# YYYY/MM/DD ` timestamp header and skip phantom blocks on both sides.
Release v1.3.0 Document the automatic pre-overwrite backup of CCLOG_*.md (copied to backup_CCLOG_md/<yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss>_<hostname>/ before a full rewrite) across VERSION.md and both READMEs, and bump the version to 1.3.0. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
