ORCH — typed task queue + state machine for AI coding agent teams (like Trigger.dev for agents) #3230

Hey Trigger.dev community!

You all know how powerful typed task queues are for reliable background jobs. I built ORCH — the same philosophy applied to AI coding agent orchestration.

The mental model:

• Trigger.dev: typed background jobs for your app
• ORCH: typed task queue for your AI coding agent team

Reliability features (familiar from Trigger.dev!):

• State machine: todo -> in_progress -> review -> done
• Auto-retry on failure with context propagation
• No task can close without passing review (mandatory step)
• Event-driven: all state changes emit typed events
• Append-only JSONL event log (no data loss)
• Atomic writes via temp file + rename

Architecture:

• Zero database — YAML/JSON/JSONL files in .orchestry/
• ESM + TypeScript strict + noUncheckedIndexedAccess
• 1493 passing Vitest tests
