Start here: USWDS questions, proposals, and updates #6937

Welcome to the USWDS community. Use this space to ask questions, share your work, and help improve the design system.

Find the right place

• Using USWDS: Ask installation, configuration, and implementation questions in Q&A. Mark a reply as the answer when it resolves your question.
• Accessibility: Share research or ask for implementation guidance in Accessibility. Report reproducible accessibility bugs using the bug report form.
• Bugs and improvements: Report a bug or request an improvement to an existing feature. Include steps to reproduce bugs and the USWDS version you use.
• New components and patterns: Search Proposals, then add your examples and research to an existing proposal or start a new one.
• Community work: Share libraries, design resources, and implementation options in Community assets, and projects you've built in Show and tell.
• Website feedback: Report content or functionality problems in USWDS site issues.

Search open and closed discussions and issues before posting. Adding context to an existing conversation helps everyone find the relevant information.

Updates and history

Find release details in GitHub Releases and website updates. Announcements contains project updates and historical release discussions. Past community calls preserves earlier call recaps and recordings.

We review discussions based on their substance. An old question can still need an answer, and an old proposal can still describe a valid need. Expired invitations and resolved questions may be closed with an explanation; their history remains available.
