Set up a Greenhouse integration

Coderbyte is an official partner of Greenhouse and offers a native integration with instructions below. 

Connect Greenhouse account

Step 1: First, make sure that you have the API add-on enabled.

Step 2. Make sure you have access to your organization's Greenhouse account and your role is Site Admin.

While Greenhouse connection can be successfully established by non-Site Admins, this may result in incomplete visibility of your Greenhouse jobs in Coderbyte. Due to technical limitations of Greenhouse API, the system is unable to detect whether the connection was established by a Site Admin or not.

Please ensure you're a Site Admin before proceeding.

Step 3: In Coderbyte, navigate to Integrations -> ATS and select Greenhouse.

Step 4: Click the Connect button when prompted:

You'll be redirected to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Step 5: Review the requested permissions.

Step 6: Select the Authorize using a service account checkbox before proceeding.

Step 7: Click Authorize to grant Coderbyte access to Greenhouse Recruiting. After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Coderbyte.

Create a webhook

Our system should create a Greenhouse webhook automatically. If you see the following information displayed, please can skip this step.

If the webhook has not been created automatically, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: In order to receive notifications from Greenhouse, we need a webhook to be set up between Greenhouse and Coderbyte. Read more about webhooks in Greenhouse here.

Go to the Webhook settings page in Greenhouse and create a new webhook following the instructions displayed in your Coderbyte dashboard:

Make sure to provide exactly the same Endpoint URL and Secret key.

Step 2: Select the I created the webhook in Greenhouse checkbox before proceeding.

Step 3: Click Continue.

Step 4: You can now create Workflows to automate tasks between Coderbyte and Greenhouse.

Caution: Due to technical limitations, Greenhouse data is synchronized with up to a 30-minute delay. Therefore, if you add a new job or configure a new stage in Greenhouse, it may not be immediately visible in your Workflows dashboard.
