Crime and Place

Participating journal: American Journal of Criminal Justice

The Collection on Crime and Place seeks to publish high quality articles focusing on understanding and preventing crime at the micro geographic level. For example, the Collection will publish basic research articles exploring the nature of crime at place, and factors that explain crime at place. It will also publish policy related articles that examine crime prevention at places by police, other criminal justice agents, or other governmental or non-governmental actors. And we are interested in methodological articles that advance the way we study crime at place, or evaluate place based programs. The Collection will publish both quantitative and qualitative work, and will take a broad approach to methods that can enhance knowledge of crime and place. We are also interested in theoretical advances in the study of crime and place. The Collection on Crime and Place will be a journal outlet that places micro geographic places as its central concern.
