Resilience in Cities to Multiple Shocks and Disasters: Interactions and Pathways for Resilience Building

Multiple participating journals

Cities are at risk to multiple shocks and disasters setting cycles of impacts, recovery trajectories and temporal recurrences. This implies that cities as collectives but also at granular level of each city, there losses and damages which often occur beyond the the time of the disaster. How disasters, time, response actions and risk reduction governance interact drives the recovery trajectories of actors and city of systems. This Collection aims at papers that explore the resilience recovery from losses and damages but also papers that will explore pathways for resilience building or both interactions and pathways.

Keywords: losses and damages; resilience building; cities; recovery; disaster governance.

This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 11.
