Announcement

We are pleased to announce that Biomechanics and Modeling in Mechanobiology will become a fully open access (OA) on 1 January 2027. As a result, all submissions received from 11 August 2026 are subject to an article publication charge (APC) if accepted and published in the journal (unless a waiver is applied). Please see our FAQs which can be found at the bottom of this page for more information on APCs, funding options, waivers and the journal's transition to fully open access.

Biomechanics and Modeling in Mechanobiology is a research journal promoting integrative studies in biomechanics and mechanobiology at all levels.

  • Emphasizes approaches that are experimental, theoretical, or computational.
  • Addresses phenomena at the nano, micro, or macro levels.
  • Prioritizes analytical and computational models based on various mechanics and their interactions.
  • Encourages reports on new experimental and mathematical methods that facilitate analysis and expand measurement capabilities.
