  • Expanding the Scope of AIDS and Behavior: Behavioral Infectiology

Social and behavioral research on HIV/AIDS now dovetails with research across all infectious diseases. AIDS and Behavior has therefore expanded its scope of interest to all infectious diseases, including but not limited to: determinants of exposure and infection; social networks and transmission dynamics; non-HIV centered syndemics; prevention, testing, and treatment of infectious diseases; public perceptions, attitudes, and stigmatization; vaccination; pandemic preparedness; adherence to infection control guidelines and protocols; public health policy; occupational exposures; poverty; and health disparities. Click here to read Seth Kalichman’s editorial that explains this change in scope.
