Announcement 

We are pleased to announce that Wood Science and Technology will become a fully open access (OA) on 1 January 2027. As a result, all submissions received from 11 August 2026  are subject to an article publication charge (APC) if accepted and published in the journal (unless a waiver is applied). Please see our FAQs which can be found at the bottom of this page for more information on APCs, funding options, waivers and the journal's transition to fully open access.  

Wood Science and Technology is a scientific journal dedicated to research and review papers across the entire field of wood material science and related products.

• Subjects include wood biology and quality, wood physics and physical technologies, wood chemistry and chemical technologies.
• Reports on latest advances in areas such as wood formation, chemical composition, property relations, and microbiological degradation.
• Topics related to wood technology include machining, gluing, finishing, composite technology, wood modification, and pulp and biorefinery products conversion.
