Twelve channels with Top Gear, Gardeners' World and Antiques Roadshow is a strong line-up for FAST. Gary makes a fair point about EastEnders, and it links to the economics too. A FAST channel earns per hour watched, so a useful test is how many viewing hours each hour of library brings in each month. Self-contained episodes tend to do well because people can join anywhere. Will EastEnders run as themed blocks, like a big storyline week, rather than in strict order? Curated that way, the archive could become one of the stickiest channels in the set.

Some great brands for FAST there…fantastic episodic content that can largely be watched casually. I think how EastEnders is curated will be interesting as ongoing linear arcs are tricky in FAST…but I’m sure the team at UKTV has a plan…it’s a business built on smart curation of content after all! And there’s enough fans out there who will appreciate the nostalgia value…

OAP TV. Good luck but I had no idea those OIP were still going or is it repeaTV? 😘. Could call the service Antiques Homeshow.

The Top Gear on U channel answers all the dreams of my 10-year-old self... you will catch me tuning in!
