For example, our Population Dynamics Foundation Model has been especially helpful in enabling research institutions and organizations to tackle tough health challenges: 🫀Targeting heart disease: NYU Langone Health is using PDFM to spot cardiovascular risks in vulnerable neighborhoods in real-time, helping doctors deploy resources faster. 💉Finding vaccine gaps: Mount Sinai Health System and Boston Children's Hospital are using PDFM to track cross-border travel patterns, uncovering U.S. counties with low immunization rates that traditional models miss. 🦟 Predicting dengue surges: Pairing climate models with PDFM helped researchers at Oxford and Tec de Monterrey forecast outbreaks in Mexico early enough to allow local health officials to take action. 💧Stopping cholera: WHO AFRO - Expanded Special Project for Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ESPEN) team in the DRC is using PDFM to identify waterborne disease hotspots up to eight weeks ahead of time. The dataset is now available in Preview as Population Dynamics Insights on Google Maps Platform.
