Dr. Sina W @RT65098475 20 hrs ago Tarantino was a phenomenon of the 1990s - an era when the glorification of excessive violence flooded cinema, often offering nothing more than cruelty and brutality as a punchline. QT was, and undoubtedly remains, the master of bad taste; and while I may not care for him personally, I can find some merit in his films today. They function more as media propaganda( "must-see" fabrications) than as genuine stories. Ultimately, he will end up as a mere footnote in film history, because it has become increasingly clear over the years that his movies possess absolutely no substance. See more Arun S @RT59230611 3 days ago This was such a overrated weird masala film, where she simply beats up 400-500 people in a single scene. Even in a hardcore Bruce Lee movie you would have a reason as to why the character is much more powerful than the others. Here she is bleeding and beaten black and blue but she keeps on fighting. There is no single collection of scenes which feel watchable from any angle, perhaps towards the end you have a scene starring Lucy Liu which was really good. But the thing is the movie is just a collection of inorganic violent action scenes which are totally devoid of even a reasonable level of logic. After having seen his Inglorious Basterds which was a superb film tbh this movie sucked. It feels sometimes even the so-called great filmmakers lose their marbles in the quest of making something stylish. Uma Thurman is okayish and the guy who played her master was very good but the movie on the whole was unbelievable and unlikeable. A ‘classic,’ perpetually re-watchable movie. Highly recommend the continuous, uncut four hours plus version. Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah and Vivica Fox at their finest! Shout out to Chiaki Kuriyama. Her character will forever be remembered. See more Christian S @Cstein99 Oct 17, 2026 This was a perfect movie! Badass! See more Read all reviews
