Use the Chartbrew Marketplace image to create a Droplet with Chartbrew installed. Deploy Chartbrew on DigitalOcean This is an affiliate link. Chartbrew may earn a commission if you purchase a plan.

Create the Droplet

  1. Check the Chartbrew and operating-system versions listed in the Marketplace.
  2. Select Create Chartbrew Droplet, then choose your region, server size, and SSH access.
  3. Wait for the Droplet to start and follow the Marketplace’s setup instructions.
  4. Record the installed version and keep a backup of its generated configuration and secrets.
The Marketplace image can lag behind the current release. If it installs v5, use the v5-to-v6 migration guide before you add production data.

Configure and check Chartbrew

Check database and Redis connectivity. Set the public client and API URLs, and configure SMTP if you need invitation or password-reset emails. Follow Domains and HTTPS for your domain. Use the service manager installed by the image; do not start a second copy of the API on the same port. Complete the deployment checks. Back up the database, uploads, and configuration before updates.

Use a standard Droplet instead

For control over the exact release and configuration, create a Linux Droplet and follow Docker or From source.
