Sunflower membership for your charity
Join the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network to support the people who use your services, employees and volunteers with non-apparent disabilities, conditions or chronic illnesses.
Charity Membership helps you explain the Sunflower and prepare your teams to respond when someone wears it. It includes summary training in English, communications materials, a product discount and the option to become a Sunflower reseller.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower works with charities around the world to raise awareness of non-apparent disabilities and help the wider community understand how to offer support.
Through our invisible disabilities index, Sunflower Conversations and articles, we share information and lived experiences with the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network.
We welcome disability-specific information and advice from charities to help people understand different conditions and find relevant organizations for further support. Your charity can express an interest in contributing to the invisible disabilities index or Sunflower Conversations, helping others learn from your expertise and the lived experiences of the people you support.
How membership can help your charity
Support the people who use your services
Someone visiting your charity or taking part in an activity may need more time, patience, understanding or support. Help employees and volunteers recognize the Sunflower, ask what would help and listen to the answer.
Support employees and volunteers
The Sunflower can also be used by people working or volunteering for your charity. They can choose to wear it without sharing a diagnosis. Help colleagues and managers understand that choice and discuss support without making assumptions.
Help people find your charity
Add your charity’s location to the Sunflower location map so people can find it within the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network. Use the Sunflower Media Pack to explain your involvement through your website and communications.
Access discounted Sunflower products
Receive a 20% discount on Sunflower products, excluding memberships. Your charity also has the option to become a Sunflower reseller, subject to authorisation.

Use the summary training when introducing the program and welcoming new employees and volunteers. The invisible disabilities index provides a quick reference, while the Media Pack helps you continue explaining the Sunflower to the people who use your services and your wider community.
Wearing the Sunflower is voluntary. It indicates that someone may need more time, patience, understanding or support without needing to share a diagnosis. It does not guarantee assistance or priority. Never ask why someone is wearing it.
