A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
Thank you for nine sweet years.
I started Doughp in 2017 as one sober founder with a stand mixer and a big dream: cookie dough you could eat straight from the spoon, and a company brave enough to talk honestly about mental health and addiction recovery.
Nine years later, that little dream had become more than a million cookie dough lovers served, cookie dough on grocery shelves across the country, two trips to the Shark Tank, and the most loyal community I could have ever asked for.
Today, Doughp is closing. As of October 27, 2026, our online store is closed and the last scoops have been scooped.
This was not a decision we made lightly — and I want to be honest with you about why, because honesty is kind of our whole thing. We grew fast through the pandemic, and the honest truth is that our cost structure never caught up: we never owned manufacturing, so we could never control our costs on a cold-shipped product, and we ran out of capital to fix it. This year we went looking for a new home for Doughp — someone to carry it forward. Our operations end today, but that door isn't fully shut: the Doughp brand, our trademarks, and our recipes & formulations are available for acquisition, and I'd love nothing more than to see Doughp live on in the right hands (details below, or reach out through our contact page).
To our customers, our team past and present, our retail partners, and SHE RECOVERS: thank you. You turned a cookie dough company into a community, and communities don't close.
Stay sweet. Stay hopeful. And if you're struggling, please know: recovery is possible, and you are so worth it. 💛
With all my gratitude,
Kelsey Moreira
