Stunning cinematography and the lead actresses were incredible. Most of the changes from the book were understandable, but two major ones I didn't like as well (though I won't put here because spoilers). But I think fans of the book and the 1995 movie will find things to love here! Starting with the beautiful landscape shots and the score...

The acting and relationships were phenomenal. The mood of the movie was a little more somber than I had expected, however, I appreciated the emphasis on the sisterly relationship. Although marked by several inconsistencies with the book, none were offensive enough to overshadow the obvious success of the movie. Would recommend!
