UNECE Databases

Bringing together experts from across various areas of work, UNECE promotes efficient and innovative ways to tackle emerging regional and global challenges through the language of structured information. Whereas huge amounts of data are already available and produced by many stakeholders, including national statistical offices, concerted efforts are needed to better link data producers and users to ensure that data produced are policy-relevant, and gaps are being addressed.

Below databases offer quantitative and qualitative indicators that can guide decision-making across multiple fields, help set objectives, monitor progress, assess performance, evaluate policy effectiveness, and ensure accountability. Additionally, they can support further research and sharpen data-driven policies in the pursuit of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. UNECE supports the monitoring of progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and targets in the UNECE region and is a key resource providing guidance to countries on statistical follow-up to the 2030 Agenda.
