We need women leading #peace now more than ever, but they're being shut out. Still, women continue to build foundations of peace every day. 🔗 Remarks by @unwomenchief at the @UN Security Council Open Debate on #WomenPeaceSecurity: unwomen.org/en/news-storie…

Care work keeps the world running. But it shouldn’t run women into the ground. This #DayOfCare, let’s all agree to lighten the load and #ShareTheCare. 🔗 Our statement: bit.ly/4zUG1qO #ForAllWomenAndGirls

For more than 70 years, Dolores Huerta organized farmworkers, immigrant families, and women who were told their voices didn’t count. #OnThisDay, we mourn her passing and honor a fearless organizer whose legacy lives on in every woman and girl who stands up for justice 🕊️

Conflict places more of the care burden on women and girls' shoulders. #Peace and security require more than their unpaid labor. Women and girls must be at the heart of peacebuilding. 🔗 See more on the @UN Secretary-General's report on #WomenPeaceSecurity:

Men/boys are the large majority of combat deaths in conflicts — omitted. Boys also do care work — omitted. Saying women & girls must be “at the heart” of peacebuilding is prioritisation, not equality. Higher unpaid care ratios occur because men are dying or fighting. justsecurity.org/104722/gender-… ukraine.un.org/uk/download/20…
