TSP Attends the 2026 Academic Annual Meeting on Integrative Medicine, Andrology and Sexual Medicine, Strengthening Academic Engagement with Shanghai Universities and Medical Institutions

The 2026 Academic Annual Meeting on Integrative Medicine, Andrology and Sexual Medicine was held in Shanghai on October 24–25, 2026. Under the theme “Integrating Chinese and Western Medicine: New Horizons in Prostate Health,” the meeting brought together experts and scholars in andrology, sexual medicine, and related fields to discuss the latest developments in the discipline, clinical practice, and innovation in integrative Chinese and Western medicine.

At the invitation of Professor Xu Huan of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Dr. Zhidan Xiang, Head of Biomedical Journals at Tech Science Press (TSP), attended the meeting and delivered a presentation entitled “The Medical Publishing Process and an Introduction to Academic Journals.” The presentation provided an opportunity to exchange views with participating experts and early-career researchers on the publication of medical research.

Focusing on Medical Publishing to Support Research Dissemination

The publication of medical research is an essential part of scholarly communication and knowledge dissemination, and remains an important topic for clinicians and researchers alike.

During the meeting, Dr. Zhidan Xiang delivered a presentation on “The Medical Publishing Process and an Introduction to Academic Journals.” From the perspective of academic publishing, the presentation outlined the key stages of medical manuscript publication and introduced the fundamental characteristics of academic journals, offering practical insights into the submission and publication process.

As an international academic publisher, TSP has long been committed to supporting research and scholarly communication in the biomedical sciences. Through professional publishing services, TSP seeks to facilitate the dissemination and exchange of high-quality research among researchers worldwide.

The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity for TSP to gain a better understanding of the publishing needs of clinical researchers and strengthen communication with experts and scholars in the medical field.

These visits further strengthened TSP's connections with universities and clinical research institutions in Shanghai, creating opportunities to better understand the academic needs of researchers across different disciplines and explore potential collaboration in journal development and scholarly communication.

Shanghai is home to extensive medical research resources and high-caliber clinical research teams. By engaging directly with researchers and experts, TSP can gain deeper insights into emerging research directions and the practical needs associated with research dissemination. These exchanges also provide valuable perspectives for the future development of its journals and publishing services.

Strengthening Connections Between Academic Publishing and the Research Community

The development of high-quality academic journals depends on the collective contributions of researchers, clinical experts, editorial board members, and publishing teams.

TSP places great importance on collaboration with universities, research institutions, and medical organizations. Through participation in academic conferences and visits to experts, TSP seeks to align its publishing services more closely with the evolving needs of the research community.

The Shanghai visit not only provided a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience in medical publishing but also expanded opportunities for communication and collaboration between TSP and experts in related fields.

Looking ahead, TSP will continue to strengthen engagement with medical research teams in China and internationally, follow emerging developments in clinical research and the biomedical sciences, and continuously enhance its journal services. Through these efforts, TSP aims to provide a broader platform for the international dissemination of high-quality research.
