Frequently asked questions
How long do I earn commission?
You earn 30% of the subscription price for the first 12 months of every customer you refer. After that, the commission stops.
How long does the tracking last?
A click on your referral link is tracked for 90 days. If the visitor starts a paid subscription within that window, the referral is credited to you.
When do I get paid?
Commissions are paid out monthly. The first payout follows about a month after the referred customer’s first payment.
How am I paid?
Payouts are sent by PayPal once your balance reaches $50. Balances below that carry over to the next month until they reach the minimum.
What happens if a customer cancels or gets a refund?
Commission is paid on payments that are actually collected. If a payment is refunded, the commission on it is reversed, and if a customer cancels or their subscription lapses before 12 months, the commission on that subscription stops.
What if the price changes?
You earn 30% of whatever the customer actually pays. If the price goes up or down, your commission follows it, for the first 12 months of that subscription.
What's allowed when promoting Spinal?
Promote Spinal however you like: your blog, newsletter, community or website. Paid ads, including bidding on Spinal’s brand terms, are not allowed. Self-referrals (including new accounts or cards), buying traffic, cloaking links, spam and fake reviews are also prohibited. Commissions earned through any of these are voided and the affiliate is removed from the program.
What counts as a referral?
A customer who starts a paid Spinal subscription through your unique referral link. Existing customers or free trial accounts don’t count.
